Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be.
Anyone can play along!
- Grab a book you are reading.
- Open to a random page and pull two sentences.
- Post the book title, author, and page number.
- No spoilers, please.
My quote for this week comes from City of Ashes (book 2) by Cassandra Clare, chapter one.
Something was moving inside the pentagram, something formless and black. Elias was chanting more quickly now, raising his webbed hands, tracing delicate outlines on the air with his fingers.
It’s been a while since I read book 1, and recently I found book 2 on audio CDs. So I’m listening to it on the way to work. A bit of a slow start, but I’m sure it’ll kick off soon.

Hi, great blog! I am a new follower from Teaser Tuesday. I would love a follow back!

I like the way the pentagram and the webbed hands were an inverse reflection of each other. (Both five, I’m a numbers person.
)
Must get around the reading these.
Great teaser. I haven’t read Cassandra Clare yet…I know.
I still haven’t read this series – really need to get on that. Thanks for the reminder!
I’ve read all the books twice, with the except of City of Lost Souls. I love the series.
I like the cover but I’m not a big fan of the series.
I wonder what Elias is planning to do. I really need to read these books.
Here’s my TT.
I need to read me some Cassandra Clare.
Perfect teaser! I’ve read book one but not the rest in the series. Although, I should since I always hear such great things about it!
:0)
