Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be.
Anyone can play along!
- Grab a book you are reading.
- Open to a random page and pull two sentences.
- Post the book title, author, and page number.
- No spoilers, please.
My quote for this week comes from Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl, pg. 105.
“We all have choices, and those choices have consequences. I expect you’ll have some hell to pay for yours when you get to school.”
With the movie for this book coming out next month here in Australia, I wanted to read the book before seeing the flick. I’ve actually had this book for a while, but never had the urge to pick it up. I’m three-quarters through it and I’m enjoying it for the most part. It’s a bit slow right now, things dragged out a bit too much, but I know the showdown is coming, so I can hang in there. Overall, the story isn’t new or unique, but I haven’t put it down yet, so that’s a positive.

That quote sure is creepy. I now have lots of books in my TBR pile. Which one to read first? It’s a hard choice.
I happened across this book in November, bought it, devoured the first third, and then lost interest. Maybe I’ll try again…
Good quote! Very ominous. I read the 1st book and felt a bit let down… but maybe I’ll revisit the series eventually.

Ahhhh. This is one of those books I’ve seen around but haven’t ever committed to. But yes, with the upcoming movie I’m curious to pick it up. :0) Fun teaser!
Probably not a movie I’d see, but the book sounds interesting. Good teaser!
This one has been on my TBR-list for a while now. Nice teaser! Mine is here, if you want to take a look: http://abookblogofonesown.blogspot.fi/2013/01/teaser-tuesday-812013.html?m=1
Sounds threatening, good teaser.

I saw a preview for the movie last night….I hadn’t really thought much about reading the book, but now I’m curious.
Here’s MY TUESDAY MEMES POST
Such a wonderful series
I know the movie might not do it justice, but I can’t wait just the same!!
My Tuesday Prelude
Happy Reading
Great teaser. I’d like to read this one too before the movie comes out. I think I’ll move them up my list.
Thanks for stopping by my teaser
Sounds like someone has been bad.
I’ve been so curious about this series since I heard about the movie. Great teaser!

The title sounds vaguely familiar, so have probably heard of it somewhere. I did not know there was a movie version forthcoming. Here’s hoping you enjoy the rest of the book! My teaser
I want to read the book before seeing the flick too, but I have too many reads right now that that won’t happen. I guess I’ll watch the movie when it’s on DVD.
My teaser
I wonder if the movie will come to the states as well? Let us know how the flick is:-)
I’ve had this in my TBR pile for a while. I’d like to read it before seeing the movie.
I’ve never heard of this one. Now I’ve got to add it to my TBR list!
I read books 1 & 2 of this series and at first felt they were a bit slow, but after you get through it you realize it really is a great story. I’m afraid to see the movie though because I’m always disappointed!
I imagine the quote coming from a teacher or something, though probably wrong on that. I like it.
Wasn’t there already a movie of this, with Kate Winslet? Probably got mixed up… but very similar title. It was definitely set in Australia. Going to bug me now!
Ahh, you might be thinking of heavenly creatures:)
Usually I’m late to everything, but it is the 7th here and I’m reading your post for the 8th. I’m early for something. Yay!
That excerpt made me chuckle. It is so teen. Love it.
