Here goes nothing…
One of my weaknesses, my Achilles heels are markets – the kind that sell organic veggies, hand crafts, plants and everything in between, and I always walk away with something. When I lived in Balmain, Sydney, every Saturday morning I’d attend the local fair, filled with hand-crafted goodies, much to my hubby’s grumbles.
Last weekend, my hubby was so sweet and whisked me away on a surprise car trip, and I was ecstatic when we arrived at Jervis Bay markets – located about an hour south from my place.
Stalls dotted the open grounds surrounding a gorgeous pond, selling organic seedlings from which I bought a blackberry shrub, food stalls which made a delicious chai, crafts and came complete with a pirate band.
Yep, I was totally in my element, even if I was freezing since I left my jacket in the car, parked streets away.
So, a huge thanks to hubby for spoiling me last weekend. We won’t even mention my love for garage sales!
