Here goes nothing…
A few years ago I went through this phase which consisted of attending cake decorating courses, visiting supply stores and making fancy cakes for everyone in the family whose birthday it was. Yep I’d become cake decorating crazy. I still remember this awesome (I say that because I don’t have a photo of it) cake I made for my niece which resembled an igloo with penguins – she was going through a Pingu stage. Similar to this image, but of course in my mind it was ten times better… hehe Last week my sister told me she still had two of the penguins I made in her freezer.. that is freaky.
So since then, I’ve calmed down a bit with the whole decorating thing, but every now and then I get back into it. A few months ago I made a cake for a friend’s son who turned seven. He loved Sonic the Hedgehog.
At my BFF – Miriam’s birthday party she had the best cake. She is a die-hard fan of Tiffany so you can guess what her cake was… A Tiffany Box. Nice!
And one thing that I really love, love, love to do is hold tea parties… I haven’t done one in a little while and am thinking about holding another. I adore the idea of baking these gorgeous delights and then sharing them with a cup of tea. And yes, as a child I loved playing teaparties… I guess I’ve never grown out of that habit.
When was the last time you attended a tea party?
