C.J. Duggan has kicked off a weekly Guilty Pleasures blog, and I love the concept. So, every Wednesday I’ll join in and confess my most embarrassing guilty pleasure. I’d love to hear yours.

Here goes nothing…
Everyone has favorite television shows, it’s a given, we’re addicted to them, so this week I wanted to share what drags me away from my writing, aside from my hubby – that’s a given:)
True Blood
I’m up to season 4, and loving all the paranormal twists and character controversy. Poor Jason – not going to say anymore in case you haven’t seen it yet. And Eric.. he’s so much cuter than Bill.
Supernatural
Just received season 6, and can’t wait to see what Dean and Sam have been up to.
Big Bang Theory
Now when I’m looking for something funny, I can’t go past the Big Bang Theory. It is a sitcom that shows what happens when hyperintelligent roommates/physicists Sheldon and Leonard meet. I received the DVDs yesterday and already I’ve watched the first three episodes…
Being Human (UK version, not US version)
Being Human is a BBC series about three housemates. Life among the living is tough. Mitchell, a 120-year-old vampire, George, a highly intelligent werewolf, and Annie an agoraphobic ghost who died under mysterious circumstances, whom all live together with just the slight bit of hope that they…
Fringe
Nn American science fiction television series, which follows a Federal Bureau of Investigation “Fringe Division” team based in Boston under the supervision of Homeland Security. The team uses unorthodox “fringe” science and FBI investigative techniques to investigate a series of unexplained, often ghastly occurrences, which are related to mysteries surrounding aparallel universe. The show has been described as a hybrid of The X-Files, Altered States, The Twilight Zone and Dark Angel. What I love about the show are the strange x-file style cases they investigate. I’m up to season 3.
I know it’s a bit of a teeny-booper show, but I’m still hooked.
Game Of Thrones (on author George R. R. Martin’s best-selling A Song of Ice and Fire series)
The question should be, who isn’t watching this. A must for all fantasy fans… love it.
What is your favorite TV show?

Spartacus Blood and Sand. I love the story but I should say there is quite explicit sex and violence. I believe they are filming the second series at the moment. Sadly they had to recast the lead when the original guy died from cancer.
Am going to check out the Spartacus series… heard a lot of things about it.
I’m on Season 2 of Fringe! Woo! True Blood! I’m still also on season 2 on that one (way behind…)
Posted it twice. Fail.
Ahh twice the fun then:)
I’m on Season 2 of Fringe! Woo! True Blood!
Cool… hope you enjoy it:)
Can’t get enough T!
How is your holiday????
Oh, Eric… *sigh*
Oh I feel the same…*sigh*
Big Bang Theory is not a guilty pleasure – that’s quality TV programming!
I watch Eureka, Warehouse 13, Burn Notice, Leverage… and on occasion, Wipeout, just because it’s fun to watch crazy people fall into water.
Quality TV hey… can’t fault you there hehe My hubby loves Burn Notice – been known to watch it a few times:), along with Warehouse 13 and Eureka.
I find my favourite TV shows I save for the fall and watch the previous season on DVD. That way I get to watch them back to back.
I have the first season of True Blood (amazing $$deal) but I havent watched it yet.
I love How I Met Your Mother and the Big Bang Theory too. Never get sick of those comedies.
I totally am in love is Castle. I love Nathan Fillion and that show is awesome!
Great post! Here is my blog post this week.

Yeah I love Castle too – haven’t seen it for a while – waiting for the next season to come out.
Ohhh, TV… I actually gave mine up two years ago precisely because it was eating up my time. I swear, I was addicted! My guilty pleasures would’ve been What Not to Wear and this kids’ cartoon called Recess (it was basically about these five ten-year-olds and their adventures on the playground). Oh, television, how I miss thee!
You are so brave and smart… if only I could do that. Stick to it I say.
I’m a huge True Blood, Game of Thrones and Supernatural fan. Also Big Bang Theory is awesome! I watch Modern Family too. It’s hilarious. I’m a Doctor Who and Torchwood fanatic. I’m going to try out Terra Nova when it starts next week, but we’ll have to see what it’s like. I miss having a Joss Whedon show on TV, but thankfully there’s always reruns and DVDs.
Every keeps taking about Terra Nova… haven’t seen it here yet. Might have to investigate… I’m with you – I miss Joss Whedon shows so much
Haha America’s Next Top Model is definitely a guilty pleasure!!! Some of those girls are so dumb. I giggle when the girls are all shocked when they realise what there challenges are, but if they’ve watched any previous seasons, surely they should know the challenges are not always easy. Duh! Modelling requires you to pose weird, hold horrible animals likes snakes or cockroaches and wear ridiculously sized heels. I love it when some princess girls act like the biggest divas – ‘oh i’m not doing that’, ‘oh it’s too hard,’ ‘oh the pressure’s getting to me i can’t remember my 5 line cover girl tv commercial’ BOO HOO hehe. Mostly, I love watching the dynamics of the group of contestants (who is the biatch, who is the pushover, who is the wild child etc), how their faces/confidence evolve with different fashion shoots, how they respond to pressure. I admire the fact that the show includes girls who have learning disabilities like aspergers (this helps to educate viewers on these disorders), and that the show endorse curvy and short girls, and that Tyra isn’t a skinny minny and is curvacious herself…though she can annoy me so much when she think’s she the best thing since sliced cheese. How funny is Mr Jay? I love it when he does his catwalk critiques and bursts the bubble on the girls who think there walk is amazing hehe aaaah too much to love
Haha your response makes me giggle.. you so love Next Top Model… we should watch it together and poke fun at the silly girlx. The bitchy scenes are the best – especially when they say weird things… Speaking of crazy things, I watched the other day Jersey Shore (I know, I can’t believe I watch that either) and two girls were having a conversation (from what I remember) over the cheese in her salad.
“What sort of cheese is that?”
“Feta.”
“What animal does it come from, because I know it’s not Goats cheese.”
“Hmm I think it comes from a Yeti.”
“Really, I’ve never had Yeti cheese before.”
blah blah blah… OMG they actually thought that feta came from a Yeti… I couldn’t stop laughing…
True Blood Season 4 baby!! It has gotten better. Season Two was a bit eh! for me….but Eric is always lovely!! I have read all the books too, so I am deffitnatly Team Eric.
I love How I met your Mother. And I have been really into relaity t.v this year *shock horror* I know! I blame Masterchef and the Renovators for their addictiveness.
I have yet to tune into Supernatural but it has always peaked my interest, might have to look into that one? Sounds right up my alley.
I also love MASH re-runs! You know that is a GP of mine!
Great post!!
P.S Poor Jason indeed…he-he
I struggled through some of the supernatural episodes in the middle, but can’t get enough of their funny episodes…hehe makes me giggle so much. I have one reality show guilty pleasure I totally forgot to mention – Australia’s Next Top Model – my hubby runs away each time I put it on…hehe
Current shows are Alphas and Breaking Bad. I’m waiting for Fringe, The Walking Dead and of course Game of Thrones. My most guiltiest of guilty pleasures though is Spartacus.
Ohh how could I forget… Walking Dead is my list too… love that show eve if it terrifies the hell out of me. Keep hearing about Alphas but haven’t seen it here yet. What’s Spartacus… am going to check it out.
Game of thrones is awesome! I can’t wait for the next season to start.
I’m a huge fan of True Blood, too. It’s one of the most quotable shows I’ve ever seen.
I know, I’m hanging for season 2 – we’re a bit behind here in Australia with some shows:)
