I’m absolutely, unconditionally certain that I suffer from an inability to organize my personal life. I’ve gone down the road of diaries, calendars, digital reminders, friends SMSing me, post notes all over my mac.
And yes, I’ve been known to forget about a skype chat, invite and the worst yet, I once forgot my friend’s wedding… OMG he still hasn’t forgiven me. Who can blame him? But I won’t go there.
I’m confessing one of my sins because it’s the end of 2011. A time to set my resolutions in place for the new year. And this year I plan to get organized. Somehow. Someway. It shall happen!
Of course I blame it on my brain being seized by my stories and characters and worlds. I do live in dream land quite often. Hubby can confess to this:)
So, I got an enormous monthly planner with tear off sheets for each month, which I will update at the beginning of each month with what’s coming up and place it right on my writing desk.
And what better way to start the new year than to write down some my resolutions for 2012. My goals are:
- Revise and edit 2011 YA dark fantasy NaNo novel ready for querying
- Find a publisher for my Urban Fantasy novel
- Start writing new novel, which has already been plotted
- Eat healthier and exercise everyday
- Read more books
- Stop buying so many books
- Have fun!!
Luckily, one of my critique groups is gathering everyone’s resolutions, which means I can’t forget about them…:)
Here’s to starting the new year on a positive note.
Happy New Year everyone!!
What about you? Do you have any resolutions, or do you wing it?
