Each year so many new books and movies come out that I just have to read and watch, and if I was to ever attempt listing them all, I might end up with the world’s longest blog. So, I’m not going to do that, but instead share a snippet of a few of the new things I’m really looking forward to coming out this year. I kind of got carried away with the movies a bit:) The other books will have to wait for show and tell another day.
In this follow-up to Anna Dressed in Blood, Cas begins seeing Anna everywhere: sometimes when he’s asleep, and sometimes in waking nightmares. But something is very wrong. These aren’t just daydreams. Anna seems tortured, torn apart in new and ever more gruesome ways every time she appears. Cas doesn’t know what happened to Anna when she disappeared into Hell, but he knows she doesn’t deserve whatever is happening to her now. Anna saved Cas more than once, and it’s time for him to return the favor.
Miranda Ellis is a woman tormented. Plagued since birth by a strange and powerful gift, she has spent her entire life struggling to control her exceptional abilities. Yet one innocent but irreversible mistake has left her family’s fortune decimated and forced her to wed London’s most nefarious nobleman.
Everything is in ruins.
A devastating plague has decimated the population. And those who are left live in fear of catching it as the city crumbles to pieces around them.
So what does Araby Worth have to live for? Nights in the Debauchery Club, beautiful dresses, glittery make-up . . . and tantalizing ways to forget it all. But in the depths of the club—in the depths of her own despair—Araby will find more than oblivion. She will find Will, the terribly handsome proprietor of the club. And Elliott, the wickedly smart aristocrat. Neither boy is what he seems. Both have secrets. Everyone does. And Araby may find something not just to live for, but to fight for—no matter what it costs her.
I’ve been waiting for this movie a long time… can’t wait to see it.
An adaptation of the cult gothic 60’s soap of the same name, Tim Burton and Johnny Depp team up once again to tell the story of the vampire Barnabas Collins who is freed after 220 years of imprisonment to find his manor in ruin and occupied by dysfunctional descendants. This has everything I love – Tim Burton, Johnny Depp, vampires and gothic ambience. I’m so there.
A misunderstood boy who can speak with the dead, takes on ghosts, zombies and grown-ups to save his town from a centuries-old curse.
Love re-tellings of fairy tales.
I’m a huge underworld fan – only watched the first 3 movies a trillion times.
It’s the Hobbit. Nothing else needs said.
The Amazing Spider-Man, though hubby things it won’t be very good. We’ll still watch it.
The Avengers – can’t go wrong here, but look below – Thor is back:)
Am a big fan of the dark, moody batman.
