Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be.
Anyone can play along!
– Grab a book you are reading.
– Open to a random page and pull two sentences.
– Post the book title, author, and page number.
– No spoilers, please.
My quote for this week comes from 45 Master Characters by Victoria Lynn Schmidt, pg 11.
“Now that your hero stands drawn before you, she needs to have her personality colored in. Along with a character sketch and insight into archetypal psychology, the following chapters provide the tools to help you answer the following questions about each master archetype:
What does your character care about?
What does she fear?
What motivates her?
How do other characters view her?”
What I like about this book are the list of archetypes, giving you assets and flaws of each – great help with developing characters and seeing which ones are best paired with others, and why.
