With my upcoming book launch in early August, I’ve been one busy girl. My usual routine is falling apart though, but I am sticking to my daily writing quota at least.

One of the great things about book launches is the chance to meet some wonderful people along the way, and one such person is Stephanie from Moonrise Book Blog. She loves reading and has dedicated her blog to reviews, especially for books in her favorite genres; paranormal romance, urban fantasy and contemporary fiction.

I was lucky enough to have Stephanie read Cloaked in Fur, and in addition we did a great Q&A on her blog where I reveal the inspiration behind Cloaked in Fur.

I’m very excited to share with you:

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be.

Anyone can play along!

– Grab a book you are reading.

– Open to a random page and pull two sentences.

– Post the book title, author, and page number.

– No spoilers, please.

My quote for this week comes from Gone with the Wolf by Kristin Miller, pg 97.

The wolf had Emelia pinned, one gigantic paw on either side of her head. Showing its razor-sharp teeth, the wolf growled and went rigid as if it was filled with rage.

A very quick, fun read if you’re not looking for anything too serious, plus I’m a sucker for werewolf stories:)

My quote for this week comes from Silver Clouds by Fleur McDonald, pg 41.

Tentacles of dread spread from the pit of Tessa’s stomach, then flooded through her arms, chest and head. One email stood out. Darcy Anderson.

I’ve just started this book, and so far it’s got a good hook and I’m intrigued.

My quote for this week comes from Cinder by Marissa Meyer, pg 273.

She departed from the room like a feather, as if nothing at all had happened, her entourage falling into step behind her. Only when the guards’ clopping feet had drifted down the halls did Kai slump into the nearest seat, head hanging over his knees.

I wasn’t really sure what to expect from Cinder, but decided to finally pluck it off my bookshelf and read it. While it did start a bit slow for me, it picked up really quick and I was hooked in no time. It’s a fairytale retelling of Cinderella, but with some major twists–cyborgs, aliens and a futuristic setting. I have to say, I really loved Meyer’s worldbuilding. Cinder, the main character, was a spunky character who never gave up despite everything being against her. This was quite a quick read – mostly since I enjoyed it so much. The ending was unexpected and left me wanting book 2. I highly recommend this book.
